Hey everybody!

It has been three years since I was a brand new student, fresh out of high school. I'm currently in my fourth year. I started this blog in an attempt to keep my family, friends and any prospective students up to date with my life at the University of Lethbridge. I'm continuing with it this year as it worked well. Thanks for reading!

November 9th, 2012

Andrea and I went to support Alysha at the Men and Women's Pronghorns Basketball Game. Stuart and a couple other friends came out to show support as well. It was a ton of fun. I love going to University sporting events, the crowds are always so pumped up. Alysha is on the U of L dance team, it's a lot of work but she seems to love it. Women won their game but Men lost (honestly it was no surprise, the Men were not playing their best).

Tonight we went out to diner with our Islam prof. The Class went to a traditional Afghan restaurant and had traditional food (which was actually really good!).  I felt kinda bad because Nicolette and I had to leave early because we had to go to the Greek Murder Mystery Party that night as well. I have no idea what I ate but it was tasty. We're all going back at the end of the month.

The Murder Mystery Night with Greek Life was fantastic! I got to wear my grad dress again, which was fantastic. Overall it was just a lot of fun. Only a few of us had roles, my little sister Liesl was Prom Queen and my other little sister Alex was an extra like me:

We danced, laughed, ate, (Liesl and I even twirled a little!) It was so much fun! We had the event with Kappa Sigma and Kappa Pie Chi.

So, here's a recap of my week, and just so everyone knows, all the problems have been sorted out.

All the problems started Tuesday night when we got a phone call from our landlord Phil telling us that either mine or Alysha's cheque had bounced. Me, knowing my bad luck, went online to check to see if Rent had come out of my account. It hadn't. So I check my recent statement and it said "A hold has been placed on your account." So I call TD to ask what the problem was.

Apparently, when I took in all of my student information mid-September into the local TD Branch, the idiot manager at the time never forwarded to the correct people or updated in the system! (I found out later that he had been fired for being incompetent) The wonderful lady on the other end tried everything but she could not remove the hold that had been place on my line of credit.

Wednesday, I went into the same TD Branch to give them a piece of my mind. The Branch Manager was wonderful. She took a look at everything, changed all my information in the computer systems and removed the hold on my account. She also said that TD would be willing to repay our landlord for the NSF fee he was charged when my cheque bounced. I wrote Phil a new cheque and everything was sorted out.

All of this happened the day before my midterms! That tuesday, I had a French Quiz and an Information Technology Midterm (which I got 91.7% on). Wednesday night I spent studying with Stuart (one of my friends in my Organizational Behavior Class) because Thursday morning I had my Organizational Behavior Midterm and my Accounting Midterm. I also have a Book Report due next week as well as a French essay.

Now that all that crap is done, I can focus on sorority events.
