Hey all! Yesterday was my birthday and it was probably the best day I have ever had! I woke up refreshed and ready for the day, and yes, I did feel older. I will never be a teenager again!

I went over to my sister Kelsie's for breakfast. We had a pound of bacon all to ourselves! Kelsie also did my hair and makeup for the day. I did have classes but they weren't bad at all. After classes, I met Alicia Szmaciarz in the Zoo for lunch and a Birthday drink because she couldn't come to Essies (the country music club) that night. Then I went home and painted my nails before the Greek Games Mixer.

Unfortunately, my birthday fell during Rush Week this year so I had to attend an official event the night of my birthday. It wasn't too bad though! I wasn't the only one having a birthday that night either! One of the Kappa Sigma's was turning 25. The KSigs wanted me to go over to the Chapter House for my birthday instead of going out to Essies but I already had people meeting us there. One of their new pledges, Royal, is the bouncer at Essies so at least I had 1 KSig there!

My littles Liesl and Alex and my unofficial little Dorica also bought me a wonderful birthday present! I have been wanting a U of L Pronghorns jersey for about a year now but they were never out when I had money and were too expensive when I didn't but they all pitched in and bought one for me!

After the Games Mixer we all went to Essies and danced the night away. It was mostly my sorority sisters there but Lauren DeKlerk (from my floor last year) and Alison Doak (from D/E 2 last year) both came to wish me well. It was so much fun and I dance and laughed and didn't even worry about what time it was, which is a first when going to a club. I even two-stepped for the first time!

January 18th, 2013

So tonight Sam had a Beach Party at her place where we all dressed up like we were going to a beach so of course I was in a floor length skirt and long sleeved shirt with sunglasses! It was a lot of fun, even though I wasn't drinking. We played Sociables and just hung out, like we normally do at her parties. Shari Ward was there too so that was the first time she came out (she was in a few of our classes last semester). Meagann Ladoucer is Sam's new roommate and Sam has been trying for weeks to get her to come to some events but still no luck. Meagann left town for this party as per usual, but it was still a lot of fun, especially trying to explain to Shari was the "Gecko" card was in Sociables.
